Celebrating Success in Mental Health Advocacy
Recovery Art Auction
Submission Deadline: September 1, 2020
The on-line auction will highlight the work of individual artists and raise funds for our recovery education, support and advocacy programs. All artists will use this form to submit one or more works for consideration. The on-line auction will begin Sept. 17th and end on Sept. 24th.
Auction Site and Marketing: Bidding for Good will host the auction items and market the auction on their extensive network. Bidders from around the country and Canada may bid on works they like. Our marketing will focus on Virginia, and include social media, website and other media, as well as corporate and organizational sponsors who will also help market the event.
Eligibility: We welcome submissions from Virginia and anywhere else in the U.S. We are seeking a range of styles, and a variety of prices, from both emerging and established artists.
Submission requirements: Submit this application form and up to 2 good digital images/photographs of the work (at least 1 MB). Label with artist name and title of work.
Works must be original visual art or craft (that can be mailed/shipped to winning bidders). You may submit any number of pieces for consideration by the MHAV Selection Committee, which reserves the right to select the artwork to be included in the auction. Only pieces that the committee accepts will be featured in the on-line auction site.
Proceeds: The artist will set a minimum bid. The purchased art will be donated to MHAV or the proceeds split between the artist and MHAV, whichever the artist chooses.
Delivery of purchased art: The artist is responsible for shipping/mailing their purchased item to the winning bidder. MHAV will reimburse the artist for the cost of shipping the item.
