(Re)STORE 2020: Survive and Thrive
Wednesday, October 28, 2020
10:00 AM - 3:00 PM

We've taken some of the timeliest topics from our 3-day retreat and adapted them for a half-day online training. The (Re)STORE program uses Peer Recovery Specialists to facilitate trauma-informed training and recovery support for crime or trauma survivors anywhere in Virginia. (Re)STORE adapts MHAV’s current recovery programming to help fill the gap in community mental health recovery services for adults who have been affected by crime or are in recovery from trauma. The goal is to facilitate ongoing recovery by using a strengths-based approach to empower individuals toward self-advocacy.

Format: This half-day live Zoom training is free of charge and intended for those who have not previously attended a MHAV webinar and/or an in-person ReSTORE retreat. There will be a one hour break for lunch. Space is limited.

Topics include: Trauma awareness, grief and loss, resilience, self-care

Facilitators: Heather Fossen, CPRS and Kevin Kelly, CPRS

Registration deadline: Friday, October 23 at 5:00 pm EDT
