(Re)STORE: Survive and Thrive
Wednesday, August 25, 2021
10:00 AM - 3:00 PM

We’ve taken some of the timeliest topics from our 3-day retreat and adapted them for a half-day online training. The (Re) STORE program uses Peer Recovery Specialists to facilitate trauma-informed training and recovery support for crime or trauma survivors anywhere in Virginia. (Re)STORE adapts MHAV’s current recovery programming to help fill the gap in community mental health recovery services for adults who have been affected by crime or are in recovery from trauma. The goal is to facilitate ongoing recovery by using a strengths-based approach to empower individuals toward self-advocacy.

***4 hours of VCB-approved education***

Format: This half-day live Zoom training is free of charge and intended for Virginia crime and/or trauma survivors who have not previously attended an MHAV webinar and/or an in-person (Re)STORE retreat. There will be a one-hour break for lunch. You must use a computer to attend. Space is limited.
