Pathfinders is an educational program for veterans and service members of the military. This retreat is three days long and focuses on trust, self-care, healing from trauma, and intentional and effective peer support. This program provides veterans with the tools necessary to serve as change agents in their community, effectively advocate for self and others, participate in system reform, and educate policy makers.
Topics include: Relationship building, cultural competency, trauma awareness
Pathfinders applicant requirements:
- Must be a veteran or service member
- Complete the application and self-assessment questions
- Proof of Virginia residency (for scholarship applicants only)
- Two references that can attest to the applicant’s individual recovery and qualities in a group dynamic
Total cost for those who do not qualify for a scholarship or choose to self-pay is $400 which includes tuition, meals, & lodging.
