Facilitator Skills Training allows working and aspiring peer support specialists to learn the art of facilitation. Through this commuter-style training, participants will learn and develop the skills necessary to effectively facilitate and tailor a training to any audience.
Format: This commuter-style training takes place from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm and include tuition, materials, and lunch. Participants are expected to arrange their own transportation to the program. Lodging is not provided.
Topics include: Styles of learning, active listening, group dynamics, conflict resolution
Facilitator Skills Training applicant requirements:
- Complete the Facilitator Training application and self-assessment questions
- Proof of Virginia residency (for scholarship applicants only)
