Facilitator Skills Training allows working and aspiring peer support specialists to learn the art of facilitation. Through this training, participants will learn and develop the skills necessary to effectively facilitate and tailor a training to any audience. 10 VCB-approved hours of continuing education credit will be awarded to Virginia Certified Peer Recovery Specialists.
Topics include: Styles of learning, active listening, group dynamics, conflict resolution

Facilitator Skills Training applicant requirements:
- Complete the Facilitator Training application, self-assessment and supplemental essay questions
- Proof of Virginia residency (for scholarship applicants only)
- Two references that can attest to your leadership and/or facilitation skills
Total cost for those who do not qualify for a scholarship or choose to self-pay is $400 which includes tuition, meals, & lodging.
