Workforce Skills – Roanoke

Workforce Skills is a two-day commuter-style program will focus on the soft skills you need to find a job, to present yourself to a potential employer, and to understand dynamics in the workplace. This training is especially intended for our peers in recovery who may not have held employment for some time.

Format: This commuter-style training takes place from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm and include tuition, materials, and lunch. Participants are expected to arrange their own transportation to the program. Lodging is not provided. Scholarships available; see application for scholarship.

Topics include: Readiness, decision making, interpersonal skills, teamwork and includes guest speakers from the Department of Aging and Rehabilitative Services and the disAbility Law Center of Virginia
