NEW - Virginia's Disaster Relief Warm Line!

We are excited to announce a second MHAV warm line service, this one specifically to support those struggling with distress, grief or trauma caused by COVID-19. Trained listeners on our new Crisis Counselor (CCP) Warm Line help callers understand their current situation and reactions, help reduce stress by providing emotional support, promote coping strategies, and connect callers with community resources. Crisis peer supporters do not classify, label, or diagnose people.

This new Warm Line is supported by the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Development Services, the Federal Emergency management Agency (FEMA) and the U.S. Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMSHSA).
