Mental Health America of Virginia 
Anne Edgerton joined MHAV as the new Executive Director in January 2013. She has a background in advocacy and management with Oxfam in Haiti after the earthquake, on behalf of humanitarian affairs with the UN in the DR Congo and with Refugees International in the Great Lakes region of Africa, with ChildFund International at their headquarters in Richmond. She is currently adjunct faculty at the University of Richmond, and has an article forthcoming in the Third World Quarterly. A resident of Richmond, VA, she volunteers in refugee resettlement, also with the Richmond Peace Education Center, and is a trained mediator in the State of Virginia.

James comes to MHAV with 15 years of hands-on corporate IT management and administrative experience for companies including Dish Network, The Gap, and Adelphia Communications. James’ connection to technology goes back 3 generations to his great-grandfather’s founding of the Southwestern Pennsylvania Telephone Company. James’ passions include helping nonprofits achieve a higher level of IT functioning, and spending quality time with his dogs.
